Havelock Cottage is a charming, stone built, terraced, Grade 2 period property set within a secluded courtyard with x1 allocated parking space. This cosy cottage is a short walk from the very pretty, historic Georgian market town of Oundle with all its amenities, including many independent boutique shops, coffee house, pubs & restaurants. The supermarkets of Waitrose & the CoOp are also a few mins walk from the house.
The cottage itself has been newly refurbished to provide a warm & inviting, cosy feel, painted using Little Green paints. Set over 3 floors; you enter the cottage directly into the living room, with a door leading to the galley kitchen & stairs leading to the 2 bedrooms & bathroom.
The main bedroom has a king size bed with Emma mattress & a single built in wardrobe. The 2nd bedroom is in the eaves of the roof with a velux window overlooking Colleywestern roof tops. It has twin single beds with toppers. Both rooms have beautiful light.
The recently updated bathroom is on the second floor next door to the main bedroom & has a shower cubicle heated via a combi bolier so there is always plenty of hotwater!
The galley kitchen is compact, but has everything you normally need including an Espresso coffee machine & microwave.
I live about 15/20 mins away & I'm very happy to give out any advice or recommend places to eat or visit.
The local independent school, Oundle, dominates the Georgian town giving it a really cosmopolitan atmosphere & vibe.
Oundle is a really pleasant place to stay; boasting a good amount of local, independent, boutique style clothing & interior shops & there is lots going on at the Stahl theatre which is extremely active. Oundle school also puts on regular lunchtime concerts & theatre productions that the locals can enjoy. A short walk away is Barnwell country park & there are numerous riverside walks to discover or hire a canoe or paddle board at Nene Extreme Adventures to explore more.
For foodies every 2nd Saturday of the month there is a lovely local farmers market from 9-1pm. We are also lucky enough to have some great coffee shops & eateries on the high street & we are surrounded by some excellent village pubs in gorgeous countryside locations, some right on the River Nene.

Hi there, my name is Emma, I worked as an interiors & still life photographer for over 10 years in London, working for magazines & commercial shoots. I therefore have a passion for all things interiors related.
I wanted to create a real home from home feel whether it is for a short break with friends & family or away for business. I look forward to welcoming you!
